Nasal Rinse Neti Pot - 2.6 oz - Liquid Review

Nasal Rinse Neti Pot - 2.6 oz - Liquid
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've used a number of different nasal irrigators -- and don't think I'm unaware of the humor value of that statement -- many of which I consider downright dangerous. Anything that requires you to squeeze or push fluid into your nose has the potential to force that fluid into your eustacian tubes. I found that out the hard way, and suffered from sinus and ear problems for several years as a result.
You say it's a miracle I'd ever even try this business again? Well actually no, it isn't because I do know it works. I'd used a classic neti pot for a long time with good results, but two things made me want to switch to a different method of irrigation. First, the classic neti required me to turn my head almost 90 degrees to the side while bending double over the sink. Second, the neti is prone to breakage if dropped from wet fingers into a sink.
When I saw the rhino horn neti and the angle shown for use, I thought that it might be an improvement over the original design. I ordered it from SiCap (Very fast service!) and gave it a try, and I have to say that I do like it. I still need to angle my head more sharply than what is shown in the photo, but not quite as sharply as with a classic neti. And the rhino is made of plastic, which means that I can drop it from now until doomsday and it's not going to shatter.
One warning: You're going to be breathing through your mouth as you do the treatment. Resist any urge to yawn. Trust me on this.

Aromatic Salt Ceramic Neti Pot, Green Review

Aromatic Salt Ceramic Neti Pot, Green
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have used several different ceramic and plastic neti pots, but none have been as good as this one. I know, you wonder, what could make a neti pot better? First, the end of the pot that goes into your nasal passages is sculpted in such a way that it fits easier and is more comfortable. Second, you can actually grip the handle and securely hold it without issue. Third, I have accidently hit it on the faucet and the sink, and it didn't break or chip (my previous ceramic pots did not survive this unfortunate action that I seem to unintentionally repeat too often). Fourth, plastic is great for travelling, but frankly doesn't feel as good as a ceramic pot. Fifth, it is a pretty pot which looks attractive sitting on your counter and it looks good with any decor. I am really happy with this pot and I enthusiastically recommended it.

Himalayan Institute Eco Neti Pot Neti Wash Review

Himalayan Institute Eco Neti Pot Neti Wash

As an allergy sufferer, I had heard all about neti pots, but the thought of draining water through my nostrils in the morning was not so appealing. I used my girlfriend's when I was sick and saw the light, so I sought out to buy one for myself. I got this one because it is the cheapest out there and it is plastic and I tend to drop things in the shower. I agree with the other reviewer that it's overpriced for a piece of molded plastic, and it will probably break right down the molded seam if I drop it, but it has been amazingly effective. Just a half teaspoon of sea salt in warm water each morning and I can breathe better and my sinus area is moisturized. Don't bother buying fancy neti solutions - simple course-ground sea salt is all you need.

NETI POT NASAFLO 1 EACH Review

NETI POT NASAFLO 1 EACH
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
One day I was desperately ill with sinus and cold infection. My friend told me to go to Walgreens and get a Neti Pot - so I did. Wow! All my life I've had sinus issues, and have had trouble unclogging the junk and goo that gets up in there. The neti pot has really helped! It seems like it'd be an awkward and weird experience to stick a pot up your nose and have salt water pour out from the other side, and I won't say it's not a little odd, but users won't be able to stop. The company says you can do it as often as you want, add it to your morning routine like brushing your teeth. I'm just about to that stage!
The neti pot actually works better when you're healthy because there's no infection to block the flow of the water. Even when I feel perfect, the neti pot releases some junk that I'd never thought I'd have. Afterwards my sinuses feel clean and refreshed!
My only complaint about this Neti Pot in particular is that sometimes water leaks out of the pot because it doesn't seal as tightly as I'd like. I've heard that some of the other neti pots out there are better, so I might try them next. But for now, my nasaflo neti pot is working great!

Neilmed Sinusurf Surfactant, 1.0- fl. Ounce Review

Neilmed Sinusurf Surfactant, 1.0- fl. Ounce
Average Reviews:

My ENT told me today, when I complained how expensive SinuSurf is, that its active ingredient is the same as in Johnson's Baby Shampoo, and that I can make my own with a solution of 3 parts baby shampoo to 100 parts of distilled water. I thought SinuSurf smelled familiar.
This is a dandy solution to SinuSurf being so overpriced. I am using it and it works very well. I had little effect from use of twice-daily saline sinus rinses to deal with a sinus infection which produced noxious green slime drip from my nose, along with an awful smell, UNTIL I started using SinuSurf.
Adding two squirts of SinuSurf to 4 ounces of saline solution immediately started clearing the slime out of my sinuses. The awful smell went away after my first use of SinuSurf, and some of the slime comes out with each saline rinse. Plus I had some crusted green mucus come out the first two times I used SinuSurf. It reallly does work as advertised.
It's just too expensive. So make your own. You'll still need to measure two squirts for each rinse though, so you'll need a Sinusurf bottle for that, and have to buy a replacement every once in a while.

My partner uses Netti Pot every day. Can't live without it. Over the last 3 years, I've bought him all types and brands of Netti salts for variety's sake. About a year ago he told me to only buy him this brand, because for him, it was the best of all.

Neti Pot Starter Kit with 1.5 Oz Aromatic Salt Original Neti Pot Salt Review

Neti Pot Starter Kit with 1.5 Oz Aromatic Salt Original Neti Pot Salt
Average Reviews:

I like the pot. It's the only ceramic neti pot I've found that holds a full 8 oz. cup. The spout is nice and smooth, unlike some of the plastic ones that have seams. The only improvement I'd suggest would be a measuring line inside it to tell you when you've got a full cup -- or to make it clear instead of ceramic, and put the measuring line on the outside. (I wonder why they don't make clear ones). This pot is a pale green color, which I didn't notice when I ordered it because of my computer monitor's calibration.
I'm not quite so fond of the aromatic salt. I haven't decided if I like the smell or not. It's not floral and it's not exactly medicinal. It sort of reminds me of some scented cleaning solution I bought. It's not unpleasant, and leaves a light, clean scent behind, but it's not a smell I associate with "aromatherapy."
Another problem I had with the salt is that you're supposed to measure it using the cap of the bottle. But if you do that, the grains get stuck in the screw threads of the lid. The mouth of the bottle is too small to fit a measuring spoon through. And if you pour from the bottle, some of the salt grains tend to fly up (from static) and get on the counter, the floor, etc. They weigh less than regular salt and tend to go further once airborne. I solved this problem by pouring the salt into another container and using a measuring spoon.

Rhino Horn Neti Pot - Blue Review

This neti pot is the right solution for most people. It's ideal for travel, since you can jam it into your suitcase and not worry about it breaking. It's lighter than the stainless steel version, the other non-breakable option. It doesn't get hot and cold, like the steel one does, and seems to have fewer deposits. We use ours in the shower, and not having to worry about dropping it and breaking it is nice too. It also has the most force of the 4 different ones I've purchased.
Of course, ceramic ones are the most traditional and there's something nice about that, but this is not a romantic sport to begin with... get the one that works the best.

Simply Saline Adult Nasal Mist, Allergy and Sinus, 1.5-Ounce Review

Simply Saline Adult Nasal Mist, Allergy and Sinus, 1.5-Ounce

All I can say is wow. I have used just about every steroid prescription spray, Astelin (anti-histamine nose spray, Afrin, Ocean Spray, a bunch of homeopathic sprays, Neti Pot and none of them have done what this spray has done for my sinus inflammation and slight congestion. I recently got a septoplasty and turbinate reduction done and I have always had this slight pressure, and very uncomfortable feeling in the middle of my nose since the surgery and until I found this spray I have been miserable for the past year. I would not recommend this spray for someone who has severe congestion and a sinus infection, for those unfortunate ones that have that I would recommend using a neti pot 4x a day with sea salt until the symptoms go away and then use the Simply Saline.

Ancient Secrets Ceramic Nasal Cleansing Pot, 1 Neti Pot Review

Ancient Secrets Ceramic Nasal Cleansing Pot, 1 Neti Pot
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I don't share the previous reviewer's buying experience because I purchased this product at a local store.
This is my first neti pot and I enjoy it, especially when I'm congested. It took a time or two learn how to use it properly. You need to tilt your head properly to prevent the water from pouring down your throat and out of your mouth and also to make use pain free. The pot also needs to be warmed up first, which is done simply by running warm water through it before use. Otherwise, you'll find that you've got cold water going through your nose despite putting in warm water at the tap. Make sure that you add a quarter teaspoon of kosher salt and use warm water. It makes use more comfortable.
The neti pot does not work well when your sinuses are totally blocked. I usually pop a few Sudafed PE tablets, wait for a bit of decongestion to occure, and then neti. You'll be surprised what comes out of your nose! I only have to do this when I have a cold. Otherwise, I use it daily and my sinuses stay clean and clear.

Simply Saline Adult Nasal Mist, Original Super Size, 3-Ounce Review

Simply Saline Adult Nasal Mist, Original Super Size, 3-Ounce
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I moved into a new house over a year ago and suffered months of long and sleepless nights due to congested, stuff up noses that made it impossible to breath through my nose and made it hard for me to go to sleep because of how prominent the blockage felt (A doctor friend of mine guessed that I have a deviated septum as well as Chronic congestion/sinusitis).
I tried manual solutions (breathe right strips); electric mechanical solutions (humidifer and air purifier) and chemical solutions (pills)--purchasing many of these on Amazon. Though I felt they alleviated the situation some, it was not sufficient to reduce the discomfort and free up nose breathing so I could get to sleep easy.
One night I literally went through almost two boxes of tissues, blowing my nose constantly only to go to bed, fill stuffed and uncomfortable again, and have to get up and blow my nose again, time after time. The next day I searched for a better on the spot solution than the nasal spray I had been using and came across this spray and one Xlear saline nasal spray.
I find both are effective at immediately ceasing congestion and opening up my nose passage ways so I can breath through them and not have to deal with the discomfort of blockage. Between this and Xclear, I prefer the Simply Saline first. With both, it's easy to "overdose" with them as when my nose is blocked, I can't initially feel the mist/spray in my nose (and thus, would keep squeezing or spraying more than I should).
With the simply saline, I did not feel any effects from accidentally spraying continually. But from the Xclear I did, my one nostril felt really dry (that it needed moisture) and irritated. It went away in 15 minutes and I could breathe through the passage but the irritation was quite noticeable.
For me, what works is to press down or squeeze and count to nor more than "a thousand two" (starting with a thousand one) and then pull out, releasing my squeeze or pressing down as I pull out.
I keep the Simply Saline in the house and the Xclear in my car. I would have no trouble using either. But my habit was become to use Simply Saline because of the overdose experience and that, once the feelings do kick in, the Simply Saline spray feels soothing while the Xclear seems to provide no feeling (unless you overdose). Just your nose will suddenly be clear/mostly clear and breathable.
I will be putting up an article of the different products I tried in fighting my sinus/nasal congestion, blockage.
